There is the sense of community within the boarding house. Pupils feel much closer to their House, to their friends and to their School than is normal in day schools.  They are able to have academic lessons in the evenings and contact their teachers if necessary; this permits them to excel far more than at a traditional school.  They are able to do three to four times as much sport, music, art, drama and other activities as in a day school.

The school is dedicated to keeping the parents fully informed in all areas of the education, welfare and progress of their boys.

Formal assessments take place at the end of each of the three terms. Continual assessment of the work done during the term gives a comprehensive formal overview of each student. The report includes any medical history, money spent at the shops and participation in co- curricular activities and of course a report of attitude, effort and social groups. Parents naturally wish to keep in touch with their boys and they will find the school and staff very keen to work with them.

The understanding and development of the boys in a boarding school is considerably more comprehensive than a day school. 

The boys belong to several groups, their house group which includes members of the same family and boys of mixed ages.

The characteristic of a boarding school is the tranquility, purpose and most important, the camaraderie.  In many ways the boys are spoilt. They have a magnificent environment with all the facilities they could possibly wish for.
